Hermann's is the geographical social center for the tiny community of Port Barrington (formerly Fox River Valley Gardens). 

Established in 1927, it has served as the desired destination for campers, hunters and fishermen from all over Chicagoland.

Staying true to its roots, Hermann's still continues to be the "hidden gem" of Taverns on the Lower Fox River today.

In 93 years of operation, three generations of the Krcmar Family have served the community and our friends, cold beer, good food and more importantly great memories.

Whether you have a boat, jet ski, kayak or just want to do a little fishing you have found the right place.  We offer launches,  parking by the day or for the whole season.

We have everything you need to enjoy your time on the river.  Rentals include boat, paddle and personal flotation device.  No reservations are necessary.  We have contactless rental.  You can even print out your form and fill it out in advance.  Ask about our season rental.    New this year, you can now store your kayak here and avoid all the hassle of lugging your kayak around.  Contact us for details.
